Question for The Hairdresser(s)

Husband uses Propecia and halted hair loss about 5 years ago but he is thinking about hair transplant for hair loss near the temples on both sides that occurred before propecia was available.


Have done some research on the net but cant seem to find anything conclusive.


Have you ever cut the hair of someone whos had single follicular transplant? Any comments?

Hmm tough one. I have come accross this a couple of times and the results varried each time. Of course I did not ask too many questions but am assuming they were done years appart you can really tell the difference in the newer transplants. From the few that I have seen and can remember, one looked very obvious and in my opinion not worth the effort the other 2 were pretty good. You could still see that they were transplanted but only by looking closely. It of course does take some time for teh hair to grow through and thicken up and as i said i dont know what stages these guys were at. I cant advise on this as transplants are not my area of expertise so I can only share with you what I have seen.


I think the most important thins is to do your reseach and find an expert in this area. I think the US or Europe would be better than doing it in HK. Good luck.
