Anyone flown to Gatwick with Oasis HongKong?

I will be going to London at the end of June and noticed that the Oasis hongkong fares are considerably cheaper than the fares on other airlines. I remember that their first flight was delayed by 24 hours, but have not heard/read anything since.


Has anyone flown with them? How was it? Any delays? Was the food and service good ? Do you pay extra for food/drinks or are they included in the price of the ticket?


In short, would you recommend them?

a friend of mine visited during christmas Gatwick - hk, HK- gatwick and said that it was fine - no hassle no problems at all.

From what people have reported of Oasis, the price is great, and ammenities are fine (ie. Yes, free meal in Y (economy) class with the option to pay a little more for a "gourmet" meal which is interesting and individual seat-back TVs with 12+ movies). The problems arising from Oasis so far has been schedule and delays. I've heard reports of 10 hr. delays at Gatwick and the same at HK. They only have 2 aircraft right now, so if there is mechanical error on one, which is actaully quite common, there's going to be some kind of delay. If it's set to depart from HK, they usually won't accomodate you hotel-wise if there's a delay, but I've heard that they are accomodating people in London who experiance delays. Also, their baggage system in HK has had problems because of a lack of infastructure having been set up on Oasis's behalf. For 200 GBP? It may be a risk you're willing to take, and that's certainly something Oasis is counting on!
