Any tried and tested recommendations for antique shopping in Macau.... just looking for mid ranged price antiques, i.e. cabinets/ bedside tables etc. Is it worth going to Macau, or just stick to Hollywood road and pay a bit extra?

you should check out Horizon plaza for antique shopping - they have quite a few stores there and it's always worth a look. If you're not SET on antiques, they also have a few stores that do knockoffs at reasonable prices. (I was in LOVE with a pair of horseshoe back chairs on Hollywood road for 50,000, and ended up getting some beautiful copies for 5000.)

A lot of the places in Macau will sell antiques and reproduction furniture. A few suggestions:
Pui Lung on Rua de S. Paulo (+853 358-261)
Asian Artefacts on Rua dos Negociantes (+853 881-022)
Mobilias Hang Fong on Rua da Tercena (+853 921-153)
