Getting Always on Connection with PCCW

I have a similar setup, but with a Buffalo wireless router, and have it successfully connected up.


One thing to check - you don't already have a PC connected to the PCCW modem via a network cable, do you? Unless you have a multi-user account with PCCW, you can only have one connection at a time, which means either a PC or the wireless router but not both. So if you want both wired and wireless, the network cable needs to plug into the wireless router and get its network connection from there.


Assuming that this is not your problem, I'm not sure why you can't get connected up. For my router, the relevant settings are in the WAN setup part of the software. I set up a PPoE connection with the PCCW username/password and set it to 'Continuous Connection'.
