Question on 3.5 Month Baby

Our baby girl doesn't cry unless hungry. On 2 occassions last Wed and 1 occassion yesterday, out of sudden and no warning, she wailed out LOUD! Seemed she was in a fright or was frighten by something. We managed to calm her down after 1-2 minutes.

We are in the process of relocation and have been in a friend's place for the last 2 weeks. Went out last Wed to say farewell and baby girl met many enthusiastic people. Was that the cause of her outburst? Nothing much was done yesterday.

Should we bring her to the doctor? It breaks our hearts when she cried like there's no tomorrow.

Thanks.

Crying's the most effective way a baby has of communicating its needs. Some babies are sensitive to changes in the environment or to changes in routine. Others just need a lot of human attention or company. But some babies seem to cry for no reason.

As babies mature they become more aware of their surroundings and may be more affected by changes in the environment, sounds etc. All babies have episodes of crying and your baby was easily consoled by parental intervention. If she is thriving and meeting her milestones there is probably no need to see the doctor. She is close to receiving her 4 months vaccinations at which time she will be reviewed.
