Can other moms share HOW do you feed, or what do you make for your 18 month if you are travelling. No kitchenette, just hotel room facilities.
I can't think of how to feed my son while in Tokyo..... other than the 3 milk feeds a day, and cereal..... I don't want to give him jar food all the time, and he's too old for commerical jar food.
Thanks for any tips.

By 18 months, he should be eating the same as you, although you may still have to mash it. Its really easy at that age, you just feed him off your plate. Or if he needs a snack just stop at a bakers or something.

Agree with CD, except I would bring a few favourite cereal, snacks, or jars JUST IN CASE....

my daughter at 18 months LOVED the fact that she was eating the same as we were. I just had one of those mini cartoon animal food scissors (I saw them at JUSCO last time) that have a little case so whereever I went, I could just chop up the food into smaller pieces for her.
but bring a few snacks that you know she loves - and some jars if you feel it necessary. The japanese breakfast of miso soup with tofu and seaweed mixed with rice - I bet your baby just gulps it down!

Cool ! Ok, sounds easy enough. Guess I made it too complicated with my older one b/c she doesn't like to eat. Even at 3 years old now, she doesn't like to eat anything..... my second one LOVES to eat, so I will do as you all suggest!

Miso soup may be a bit too salty for your baby, but do try the noodle soups, like udon or ramen.
