Hello,

I was told by my US financial advisor that I can't buy any saving insurance for my unborn child (since we will be staying in HK for another 1.5 or 2 years) until we moved back to US. Any suggestion?

i'm unclear about what it is that you are planning to buy for your child.

My parents, (in the US) have started an educational savings plan (I believe it's called a 529) and they have put money into that account. THis could be an option for you - if you're looking to save for your child's future.
