HELP! Breast to Bottle

My baby girl has just turned 4 months old and I have problem getting her on bottle feeding. She is used to both breast feeding and bottle feeding but at 3.5 months all the sudden she refused to take the bottle. I thought she was teething (as she was drooling a lot as well) so I breastfed her exclusively in the last 3 weeks.

Baby had her 4-month check-up this morning and our Doctor said the reason baby has been refusing the bottle is NOT because she's teething, but it's because baby is older and have become more wise, and now she knows she prefers breasts to bottle, and therefore refusing to take the bottle.

As I plan to stop breastfeeding by end of April; our Doctor suggested us to start getting baby on bottle feeding now, and gradually elminate breast feeding. I tried having my helper to feed baby this evening and she cried like there was no tomorrow! Never seen baby cries like that before, non-stop wailing for 30 mins! It was so heart breaking......>_<

Has anyone experienced the same before? That baby was used to both breast feeding and bottle feeding but all the sudden baby decided he/she only wants breastfeeding? If so, how did you manage to re-introduce bottle feeding? Any good tips?

Also, should I subsitute one feed with bottle first and then subsitute one more? Or should I start giving her all bottles (with expressed milk)?

Many thanks.
