Hi, Can anyone tell us if there is a brand of dryer that works? In our serviced apartment the one there would never dry clothes, sometimes they came out just hot and wet. The one we had in our rented apt was worse. Is there a type like the Australian ones that work???

Whirlpool works fine. I've a 6kg capacity one and everything is dried within 60-90 minutes including jeans and bath towels. I also heard that Siemens is good too.

Mine is a Whirlpool I bought new in HK 13 years ago (Kingsway Appliances in Aberdeen) and it's still working as well today as the day I bought it. Drying time for jeans, towels, etc. is less than an hour.

I have a Fischer & Paykel. It is wonderful. Dries a load in about 20 minutes and has a moisture senser. You chose one of three settings, damp, dry or very dry and the machine automatically switches itself off when the clothes are dry. Can also select a wrinkle free setting that will continue to tumble the clothes every now and then until you switch it off and take the clothes out.
We bought ours at Fortress.
