I haven't been to Macau for so long and am a bit out of touch with the hotels. For a relaxing break by the pool would you recommend the Hyatt Regency or the Westin?

absolutely the westin, there is no contest. service to food is fab, the rooms are 1000% nicer and so is the pool area.

I agree with Saikunga and dizzydog. Westin is so much better.

Thankyou for all your help, it sounds like no contest!! It's also good to hear that people are still talking about the Westin in the same way as when it opened. Time to try it I think! Thanks again............

if you want "a relaxing break by the pool," i think no others can beat Westin in Macau.

No, we didn't go over CNY as we wanted the pool to warm up! There's some great info here. When you mention the restaurants, is Fernandos still around? Still as good as I remember?

I stayed at the Wynn a few weeks ago and it was without doubt the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Pool facilities are beautiful, the day spa is excellent, the restaurants are top class and the room was jaw dropping (although I did happen to stay in a 90m2 suite!). The view from the room isn't that great though and there is the Casino side as well which could be a plus or minus depending on your taste. The Westin is just too tired looking these days. I can't wait until the Venetian opens in July!
