Hi everyone!

just wondering if there are any popular parent groups/playgroups in Seoul for ex-pats? Also, do Korean kindergartens take kids on a part-time basis (one day a week)? Can you pay on the day or as you go? Thanks for your help.

There are part time programs available at some of the preschools - I think HABA and starters both offer a partial program - depending on which one. If you are in a full fledged kindy, I'm not sure of any that would allow you to do a one day a week type of thing. Some of the local preschools (children's house -is the direct translation) would let you pay the full tuition, and then opt to send your kids a few days a week if you like. Many of these places are actually quite inexpensive, depending on what are you live in. But I'm sure most would require the full monthly tuition, and then you could send your child as you please.

There is Gymboree here - and that could be a pay as you go option - more likely that than any of the school programs that I'm aware of.

The American Club has a women's meeting - I've not been, but I've been told it is quite active. They may be able to guide you more on this option.

i've also sent you a PM, with some additional information. Good luck.
