Need some help finding a club with a swimming pool which does not cost a fortune to join or has a huge waiting list. Does this exist?
Only in HK for 2 years and flat we are renting in Stanley does not have a pool.

I've got the same problem. I finally mgt to find a gym recently- Season's Fitness in Citibank Tower, Central. It is indoor heated pool which opens all year round and reasonable monthly fee. Bear in mind pool is not very big only 20m.

go to the buildings the libraries are in and you can swim for very little money. They're all over the place, Aberdeen,Ap Lei Chau, etc. You can take lessons of all sorts. There is a local swimming pool next to the Aberdeen Marina Club and you can try the building on Robinson Road? where the YWCA holds their classes. Look up the YWCA and ask.

If you are located in Stanley I suggest that you join the American Club. This would only suit if you are able to use the Club in the week as they do a very reasonable week day membership and if I remember correctly the joining fee is $10,000 plus the monthly subs. This would not suit if you could only make use of the facilities at week-ends. No waiting list.
