Can anyone please recommend a place to buy reasonably priced custom-made furniture on HK island??
Things like bookcases, sofa's, coffee tables etc.
I have heard that there are places where you can go with a picture of the item u want from a top end shop they can produce it for a fraction of the price

there are many places that do this on Queens road east However, be forewarned that the quality may be less than wonderful if you're paying a fraction of the price. Many people end up having to get rid of the furniture because it cracks, chips, paint peels etc. - and generally it looks bad after a few years.
Jade Rattan - all over HK, does a decent job - and have a lot of custom options as well.
OTherwise if you're just buying basics and nothing too intricate and tricky, Seahorse has good sort of "ikea" type furniture for less, as well as Pricerite. I've had good luck purchasing there and the furniture has lasted more than our custom made knockoffs.
