Thailand 90 days and out? i hold 2 passports and was wondering if I leave on my US after 90 days can I come back on the Canadian and is there any way for immigration to know one has passports from 2 different countries?

I agree with JWM. Be careful with your doing. If you live in other country that means you have to respect there law. The experience with some guys that I knew, he used to have 2 passports. And he got caught at the Immigration airport and when to jail for 1 year.

Why not leave and return on the same passport? A lot of people make visa runs in Thailand every 90 days.

A lot of people have and travel on two passports. Unless you are dealing with one of the very, very few countries that criminalizes dual nationality, you'll have no problems.

thanks. I respect the laws so why I am asking. It is not illegal to have 2 passports as Im a dual citizen and there is no risk of going to jail they would simply just not let me enter in. I have a proper 90 day tourist visa however I am getting married and need more time here so was thinking of flying out on my current visa after it is up then coming back the following week on my other passport.

But what would the difference be? Regardless of which passport you use, you'll get the same old 90-day visa. If you leave on A and return on A you get 90 days. If you leave on A and return on B you also get 90 days.

As of Oct. 2006 Thailand has a new law that you can stay 90 days max then you must leave for a period of 90 days before coming back on a tourist visa. Since it is very difficult to get another type of visa why I am asking the question about dual citizenships. Last year I came on passport A and stayed 90 days then went to China for a week and came back to Thai on passport B and no questions asked but this was before the new law. How would software tell that to them as I am a citizen of both A and B seperately?

Oh, I never knew about that new law. It sounds really bad and I don't know why they'd be stupid enough to enact a law like that.


Maybe using two passports would work.
