Has anyone tried this? I've heard that you get great results but feel a bit nervous about having perming solution so close to my eyes, also worried about losing my eyelashes! Any recommendations or is it best left alone?
Thanks!

Yes, it's great; I recommend Nigar at Beautie Par Zai, she does an excellent job!

If you have short, thick Asian lashes, ask the beautician to make your lashes go "up" towards the ceiling when your eyes are opened rather than "curly". I've had it done both ways (my lashes are thick and short). THe end results depends on the skill of the beautician-- one time the lashes were too curly from wrapping the entire lash from root to tip and it looked terrible, another time the woman use too big of a rod so there was hardly any difference. I took to doing it myself with one of those kits from SaSa after learning the method from a pro. I don't recommend doing it yourself because it requires some dexterity and alot of patience since you can only do one eye at a time (doubling the time).

I agree with Rachael. Perming really makes a difference and is a lot better than using clumpy mascara all the time! Beauty Par Zai does a great job. Their number is 25241272.

You can, of course, have them tinted at the same time...if you have blonde lashes this is great.

How much do they charge at that place you guys said, and where is that?

They're on Stanley street, Queen's Place- just behind where the old Lane Crawford (Now H & M) is. Give them a call, they're very reasonably priced and do a really good job.

Forgot to say that they use 100% vegetal curling solution - without any ammonia. That's why its safer than most other places.
