My baby since 5 months old rubs his ears every day - we've seen the paediatrician and there are no sign of excema, rashes or redness. He said the baby is in good health.
Also during his formula feeds, he always grabs the cloth we put under his chin and plays with it, mostly rubbing it all over his face.
Has anyone experience these with their babies? It's quite amusing watching him as he's never still when we feed him.

Sounds like something many babies do at this age, one friend's baby would rub her face and ears onto anything - them, the sofa, etc..
Some old wifes tales says it has to do with teething, but I don't think so.

My 4 months old also likes to grab his bib or whatever cloth under his chin - rubs and covers it onto his face. He enjoys it.

likely a soothing gesture. some bubs like gnawing on the ears of a doggie toy, some bubs like putting their finger into label on blankets; etc. mine used to like rubbing the lobe of her ears before sleeptime but outgrew that to rubbing her fingers on the edges of her napkins when she drinks milk or before sleep. Nothing unusual at all. my only advice is to stock up on these cloths he likes rubbing as he would no doubt be extremely annoyed if the cloths are all in the wash and he loses his "soothing toy".

This is happy to know - my boy seems to enjoy rubbing his face with a cloth and covering it.
