Hi,
Can someone clarify for me...
When baby bottle teats are labeled "3 mths+" or when a book/ forum talks about a "3 month old", how many weeks would you say qualifies as a 3 month old?
My husband disagrees with me and thinks that 3 months old starts when the baby is 12 weeks +, where I think 3 months old starts at 9 weeks! Thanks!

to me, 3 months old is when a baby is 3 months old. (12 weeks).
However for baby bottle teats' purposes.... it's really depends how fast your baby drinks, you could have a baby drinking from a 6 month teat at 3 months... b/c he/she drinks fast. Where you could have a 3 month old baby, drinking still a new born teat b/c he's very slow drinker and fast flow teat will choke the baby.
So it's just a general guideline, don't follow it by the labels on the teat packaging, but follow the needs of your baby in the teats' flow stage.
But in general, xx months is when the month is FULL and completed. It's no different than how old are you ? 1 year old when 12 months, 3 years old when it's 36 months.

If Baby is born 10 March:
1 Month: 10 April
2 Months: 10 May
3 Months: 10 June
and so on...

Thanks. I knew being a parent would be hard, but I still underestimated everything. Just when I think I understand my baby, she throws my husband and I for a loop! :)
