There are a couple of good threads on this, do a search for 'climbing' to find them.

Here is one

And here is another with lots of comments too (I have not forgotten Woody's comment on this thread and keep waiting to hear the 'thump'!)

in addition to my original post above, after my #2 was born, I had another round of not wanting to sleep in the bed problems.

What was the amazing thing, was Ferber's Close the Door method. You tell her to lie down and sleep and if she tries to follow you out, you shut the door and keep it shut for different intervals of time. It was the quick - took about 2 days with the 3rd day being only a reinforcement of what had gone prior. If you look on line I know they had a decent description on baby center.

Good luck! It will get easier!

if she can get out of her crib

she'll eventually get out of the travel cot. I've not heard of anything against babies sleeping in it, but it just doesn't seem it would be so comfortable to me.

There are those tops you can get for your cribs - they are supposed to keep cat's out of the crib - and your baby inside. here is a picture of one.

I was pretty intent on getting one of these instead of trying to teach my daughter to stay in bed, but ended up just teaching her to stay in bed. It was easier than I had expected and not too hard at all actually.

Just be prepared - she's sleeping in the travel cot now, but it's just a matter of time before she pops out of it...

I had a hard time trying to find one in SEoul when I was considering it - and so I thought HK might have - but I didnt' have much luck. You may find out if bumps to babes has it or find something on ebay and find out if they'll ship to you. good luck.

My last child only ever slept in a travel cot as we didn't have a normal one, she found it quite comfortable.

Apart from that the only solution I have is to put your child in a bed. My eldest daughter learnt how to climb out of her cot at 13 months, so at 16 months we switched her to a mattress on the floor, (so there was no worries about her falling out).
